"Order received yesterday, cooked today. It’s exceedingly fresh and well clean raw fish compared with wet market in town. No other places can buy such great taste sea bass without earthy taste after cooked. Sea bass cooked in braised perch, fresh and delicious. Definitely will buy again from Sampancatch. PureFish's options are broken down into a series of themed boxes. That's roughly the same price you'd pay for fresh (or fresh-frozen) fish at your local monger, give or take. But it's delivered to your door rinsed, dried, trimmed, and with fins, spines, and blood meat (the red stuff that runs down the lateral line of a fish) removed.

What you get are restaurant-quality cuts and preparations, and all you have to do is pull the trays out of the freezer roughly 12-24 hours ahead of cooking (check each package), peel off the thin layer of shrink-wrapped plastic, toss the absorbent pad, season or marinate as you like, and pop them in the oven.

In the end, it's the time versus money conundrum. Do you want to get off work and spend 20 or 30 minutes peeling and deveining shrimp? Do you want to sit under a bright light and pluck 50 pin bones out of a fillet of salmon? What's that time worth to you? For many of us, it's worth a lot.

I visited on a Wednesday morning and was offered the most freshest fish I’ve seen in the area. Its a wonderful local fishmongers and has a great selection of produce. I was also served by a very nice staff member who kindly offered to remove the scales, guts heads etc of the fish I purchased.

Since finding this shop I don’t by fish from anywhere else. The choice and quality is amazing and the staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable Thay have everything from a simple pint of prawns through to crab and lobster and everything in-between, fresh and also frozen. 100% recommended

Fresh from Billingsgate even Wednesday and Friday mornings this little fish mongers packed with all your seafood and fishy delights. Hake, Sole, Cod, Dorset Crabs to name but a few. Sold whole or by the cut, they will even take requests if its available at the market.

They also boast a little deli section with delights like crab salad, pickled shellfish, calamari etc sold by snack pot or family portions.

Worth a visit, but parking is limited to on street so hopping on the bus (stop right outside) might be your better option.

Great addition to our local shop listings. We bought those mussels and done the rest ourself. They were super nice and fresh with a wonderful sweetness. In the shop there was a wide range of items for sale, from fresh to frozen. I very much look forward to getting more seafood from here later this year. I would recommend anyone to pay them a visit. It felt covid safe which i always good

Lovely fresh fish and shellfish, some cooked each day on the premises. Friendly knowledgeable staffing a covid secure environment . As a whelk connoisseur I pop in each Friday for my weekly fix, i do struggle to limit my purchases as the dressed crabs are also delicious. Just sitting down now to place my christmas order which prompted me to write this review.

Wow..just came in this afternoon for a pint of prawns and some oysters. Tastiest oysters I think I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten them around the world. Big, juicy and so fresh. And served by a very lovely, friendly lady. Looking forward to next weekend already..ha ha
